Hot African Sunset glass bead necklace
I recall the beautiful sunsets from the roof top bar of the hotel I stayed in in the small town of Cape Coast in Ghana West Africa. I knew I could only be in Africa with the colours so hot and sticky, a glorious mix of red and yellow.
These beautiful glass beads were made in my studio using the lampworking glass technique, they’ve been fitted onto a round sterling silver chain to create a stunning necklace.
The beads vary slightly in size, the largest is 31.5mm in diameter and 9.5mm thick. The chain is made from 9mm sterling silver rings soldered together and is 84cm long. With the beads attached the piece makes a total of 103cm in length. I would be happy to adjust the length of the chain to suit your needs. There is currently no clasp fitted to the chain as it slips easily over your head.
All beads have been kiln annealed in my studio to prevent the risk of breakage if dropped.
