I’m very pleased to announce that tomorrow evening I’ll be participating in the Pecha Kucha event presented by Rare Trades in Sovereign Hill Ballarat. I’ll be in great company with a bell maker, wheelwright, heritage locksmith and many more artisans sharing information about their trades and rare crafts.

It’s usually at this time I’m preparing for the Lost Trades Fair but sadly this year it’s been cancelled. Without a vaccine I couldn’t honestly attend anyway. Today with another lockdown announced I’m back in my studio making hot glass beads in these beautiful colours, inspired by a sale of my earrings yesterday to a beautiful redhead.

I carved and cast this design at the Lost Trades Fair in Bendigo in March and finished it yesterday for @craig_leckie as a gift for his kind help over the weekend. It’s a pacific islander fishhook or Hei Matau.

This pendant evocative of breaking waves was recently on display at the Lost Trades Fair in Bendigo where I demonstrated cuttlefish casting. .

These organic lampwork glass bead earrings that I made will be on display and for sale at the Lost Trades Fair in Bendigo. I’ll be demonstrating cuttlefish bone casting with sterling silver across the weekend. .
